DustyRose's SpellBinders 3


Well here is my last Vol. of Spellbinders, It's a good thing cuz I was running out of voodoo songs! I hope you all come back after grabbing & listening to this last Vol, & leave a comment! It has nothing to do with ego or flattery, It's amazing how far a small gesture of appreciation goes, it feels good to show us that you're enjoying what you get from this great blog for free! For instance this comp right here took me almost a month to complete & I'm sure I'm not alone, It takes alot of work & time to do this & it would be great to see some comments in whats posted here from all the crew...TY! :)

03. Bloodstone - We Did It

Formed in 1962 in Kansas City, Missouri
They were originally a high school doo-wop group named the Sinceres before they renamed themselves Bloodstone

During a 15-year career, this Los Angeles-based doo wop/R&B group recorded under at least seven names for at least 19 different recording companies.

ABC Raraties ...this song was recorded on 8-track along with a few others in the last recording given in this format, now on a double disc from Kent Label which I posted in the record shop for anyone that wants it :)

10. Chicago Gangsters - Don't Be Gone

Despite their name, the Chicago Gangsters were originally from Ohio, consisting of brothers James, Sam, Chris, and Leroy McCant. They adopted the name Chicago Gangsters where they worked with prolific songwriter/arranger Richard Evans and a number of Chicago's top studio musicians...Later dropping their name to The Gangsters

15. Robert Winters & Fall - Magic Man
1981 - Buddah Records
Robert died in the mid-1980's. He was disabled and used a wheelchair, having suffered from polio, apparently he suffered an illness and died a couple of years after he released his second album. I was kinda doubting this story only because Walter Jackson had also been crippled by polio as a child & who also cut this record, died in the mid 1980's but during this research It seems to be accurate... any input will be appreciated!

Not sure which Premiers group this is, as for The Invictas I think they were from Detroit, so I am soooo lost now...I give up! any help ?
