I CHOOSE YOU - WILLIE HUTCH

A versatile figure during Motown's "golden years," Willie Hutch penned hits for other artists, as well as issuing numerous albums on his own. Born Willie McKinley Hutchinson during 1946 in Los Angeles, CA, Hutch was raised in Dallas, TX, where he began signing as a teenager as a member of an outfit called the Ambassadors. This fantastic cut was written specifically for the soundtrack of THE MACK.

SLICK - WILLIE HUTCH

This smooth pimp track was issued in 1973 and showed up on the soundtrack of THE MACK. THE MACK was a cult film starring Max Julien, Roger Mosley (from "Magnum P.I.") and Richard Pryor. If you like Bobby Womack or Bill Withers music you'll love this track....grab the file and give it a listen....I'm sure you'll approve.

LUCKY TO BE LOVED BY YOU - WILLIE HUTCH

Willie Hutch enjoyed more than a dozen R&B chart hits throughout the 1970s during his time with Motown Records, where, as well as being the studio talent behind albums by Smokey Robinson (producing solo LPs 'Smokey' and 'Pure Smokey') and Michael Jackson (‘Got To Be There’ LP) and tracks by Marvin Gaye and Diana Ross he also gained acclaim with his music scores for the soundtracks of ‘Blaxploitation’ movies including ‘The Mack’ and ‘Foxy Brown’; music which certainly inspired the hip-hop generation.
Before Motown, Willie worked with the 5th Dimension, then launched his own solo career in 1969 with debut LP “Soul Portrait” on RCA. "Lucky To Be Loved By You" was released as a single and also included on the album "Soul Portrait."
