There was an explosion of great Latin groups in the late 60's and early 70's, such as Malo, Santana, El Chicano, Tierra and Chango. The diverse but sophisticated funk, soul and Latin sounds of Azteca rank them amongst these greats. The band originated in the Fruitvale district of East Oakland, California, and was led by Pete and Coke Escovedo This is their first album from 1972. Be prepared for a feast - enjoy!
