DustyRose's Buried Treasures Vol. 2

HAPPY NEW YEAR Music Lovers! Well here I have my Vol. 2 Of Buried Treasures & I must say this one was a pain in the ass to get on here half way decent...I will give a brief explanation of whats going on with some of these cuts...Some came off vinyl so when I ripped them into my then PC (Windows Me) yrs ago the ripping program that came with that PC only went as high as 56 kbps, I tried the best I can do without corrupting the sound more then it may be...So crank up the volume cuz it is what it is! Bottom line they are here to share with you & since I went through the labor, all it will cost is a simple comment! Let me know what you liked, what you didn't ,I don't care....besides the crew members, which I know they appreciate what I present.... I still look forward to the rest of you downloaders comments, I also speak for the crew that puts hard work in these comps that are posted here, so don't be shy, step up! You know who you are :)) Go get it but come back & leave a little comment... Graci & Enjoy!

(Thanks again RossyBoy)

Gotta Have Love on Date label 1650 DJ)
Paul Varisco – Tell Me Where Love Goes (Kapp) 196?
Blue eyed soul & very scarce Northern Soul
This is called Louisiana pop/swamp music...but whatever! Love this mans voice!

03. Jim Pipkin & The Boss Five - I'm Just A Lonely Guy '67 ?
Label Emerge: 1108 Format 45
Best known as Jimmy Pipkin Of The Gallahads
also best remembered for "Lonely Guy," an enormous smash hit he wrote in 1960.

05. Majestics - Let Her Go No year/label found
The many Majestics groups and discographies get confused;
This was Detroit group the Majestics, but a name change to The Monitors was made after it was found there was another group already recording as The Majestics for another company.

06. Soul Superbs - Just AsK Me
Label Mus I Col from Columbus, Ohio No year
This group reminds me of The Whatnauts, maybe it's just me?

07. Five Keys - Girl You Better Stop
1960 LANDMARK Label or (5 Keys)
The origins of the 5 Keys go back to 1945, in Newport News,Virginia, when two sets of brothers began singing gospel music as the Sentimental Four. They were: Rudy West and Bernie West; Ripley Ingram and Raphael Ingram. Various "Five Keys" groups played concerts through the 60's and 70's but by then the glory days were but a memory. In April, 1992, the Five Keys were inducted into the UGHA Hall Of Fame, The beautiful voice of Rudy West was stilled on May 14, 1998...

08. Legends - Tell Me Baby 1963

09. Precisions - Take A Good Look 1972
Hen Mar label (Philadelphia Group)
There are several different groups called The Precisions, from New York,Boston,Scranton, PA The Precisions (Detroit Origin)

11. Four Gents - Our Love No year found
Not to be confused with the Chicago's Doowop group The Four Gents....
This group were originally known as The Four Gents & The Orphonics before they were the Delfonics staying with the same members....From Philadelphia

1986 Avion label

1973 Bim Bam Boom Records from Manhattan NY
One of many cover songs of Frankie Lymon & The Teenagers 1956 version

16. Parliaments - Your So Cute
Unlnown label & year
A doo-wop vocal group from New Jersey, formed in the back room of a Jersey barbershop in the late 1950s and named after the cigarette brand. Clinton was group leader and manager and part owner of the barbershop where the group convened to entertain customers. The Parliaments were then to become soul & funk as "Parliament" with George Clinton

17. A Perfect Blend - A Good Man Is Hard To Find
Normally I'm not a fan of Accapella but this group
remains smooth, sweet and professional throughout.

19. Together - Don't You Want To Go
1974 Label : ABC

20. Admirals - King Of Love
1965 Volt Label or King Label
This group's line-up at that time included a 20-year old Gene McDaniels. His individual fame was still six years away at that point before his 100lbs Of Clay became a world-wide hit.

1991 Robbee Label
