Metaphysical? Or just plain pretentious? Well, if you are a Hippy Hippy Shaker from that era you might even like the words, but don't let them put you off enjoying this cohesive suite of jazz-fusion. This, their fourth album, was a natural extension of Santana's previous three efforts. With six percussionists laying down a groove, the album effortlessly blends elements of Latin rock, blues, and soul. Cool ! ( Or maybe even Groovy, Baby !) This is as jazzy as this blog is ever likely to get.
