Since this is a soul site, I thought it would be appropriate to post something by "The Godfather of Soul", James Brown. Acclaimed as one of the most influental "soul" artists of all-time, he managed to have more charted hits than most other artists. He began his musical legacy with his first charted hit in the spring of '56 with Please, Please, Please.
Hey, with a vast library of material & many reissued albums on cd, what does one pick for a post?
I chose this obscure album from 1978 that has never been reissued.
The first track almost reached the half way point of the top 100 though.
In keeping with the "MELLO" theme...the reason for my having this album is for track 3 (Someone To Talk To). Whatever the flava...enjoy!
1. For Goodness Sakes, Look At Those Cakes
2. A Man Understands
3. Someone To Talk To
4. Spring
5. As Long As I Love You
