I

I saw that one of our sister sites had posted the only other album by Chuck and Maxine, so I thought I'd better better get this one, their first and far superior, in my opinion, up pretty quick. The cover notes from Robert B, "Q", Katz read as follows: "The greatest bit of news to hit the music world in quite a while is the teaming up of Maxine Brown and Chuck Jackson, also known as 'Mr. Soul'. Maxine and Chuck have both been around for quite some time and both are tremendous in their own right. Now that they are teaming up on this new release 'Saying Something', it should be the hottest thing to come down the pike in years. These two great performers, each with their own individual style, will complement each other in such a way as to be the beginning of a great team. In my opnion Miss Brown and Mr. jackson can look forward to even more promising careers as a team - this in addition to their already flourishing careers as evidenced by their popularity and success over the years". Well, that was written back in 1966, so you can determine now if "Q" was correct - here's the album in all its analog, mono glory !!!
