Thee Midniters - On Whittier Blvd (1965)

What's to say about the greatest group to come out of East L.A. in the Sixties? Motown, Latin, garage rock influenced by the British invasion, or sublime ballads - you name it, they could do it and they could do it live! My own favourites on this one, without doubt, are the Willie Garcia voiced ballads "I Need Someone" and "Giving Up On Love" - but then again, my dancing and screaming days are over..... Enjoy!
